Coeur d' Alene, ID - 8/08 - I am a mother of 3 beautiful children, ages 4, 6, and 8. My husband of 12 years has decided he is leaving the kids and I. I won't go into the whole story--it's quite painful and difficult for me to come to terms with. Anyway--my husband is having issues finding a place to live that will allow him to continue to support us until all of the leases and contracts run out. And I cannot afford my regular living expenses by myself right now. I need help with school clothes for my kids, since I no longer have a second income to cover the expense. I also need to find a way to take care of my kids, but also myself. I recently lost 45 pounds through diet and excercise--and I have about 40 left to lose. But Now I can't afford my gym membership, my vitamins, OR food that isn't going to totally destroy all that I've worked for. :( On top of that--now I do not have access to health insurance, and I desperately need dental and vision care. I've seen an m.d. recently--so I'm ok there. Also--none of my clothes fit. In a good way, but I'm literally swimming in all of my pants, skirts, and shorts. I would gladly donate or trade my entire wardrobe for some stuff that fits properly. My self esteem is pretty low right now--I just want to feel better about myself again. I usually help out others whenever I possibly can. This time, I'm the one that needs help. I promise to pass it on once I get through this. Thanks!

Nespelem, WA. - 8/08 - Hello! This is such a great service and I have been able to contribute a lot of excess clothes and belongings I had to others in need! I am in need of some help right now and it could be any one of the things i am about to mention. Long story short, my husband and I have been unemployed for a bit and then, w/in a week of both getting jobs, our only car was stolen! We were behind on rent and utilities and planned to pay up as soon as we began getting paid but then had to buy a new vehicle to keep our jobs! We have 5 kids (2 not actually our but we raise them like they are) and two are special needs. Currently, I have signed a voluntary pay deduction for 25% of my earnings to pay my back rent and another 25% to pay my grocery store acct. so my take home pay is very small! I have a storage unit that i am in $600 of debt to and disconnect notices on my water and electric bills. (we don't have phone or tv). If my storage unit isn't paid by Aug. 24th i will lo!
se it and it contains all of my journals, photo albums, kids baby pictures, and handmade graduation quilts or else I wouldn't stress over it. If there is anyone who could help with any one of these items (water, lights, or storage) then I could take care of the others and get myself moved out of that storage unit and end that ridiculous bill! In the meantime, we also don't even have gas to get to work until next payday (our first checks went entirely towards buying the van to replace our stolen one!) so that is an immediate need we really could use any assistance with. We are both hard working and can repay any help offered or would happily work off any aide we could as well. Our deepest gratitude towards any little bit of help anyone can offer!
